Day 149 - Pizza Party

Today in WHAP we had a pizza party.

The delivery man was running late on the delivery, so we didn’t get pizza until later into the period, so we talked about an O-Point project to potentially add points to our grade. After much debate, I had to decline the option, knowing that realistically if I did it I'd probably be losing more sleep then usual (I average 5 hours a night) and probably would end up with a phat 0 points. Just not worth it, this class is the least of my worries right now.

We ate some pizza, cramming the decadent slices into our mouths. It was worth 4$. Thanks Stephen's dad for the hookup.

After this, the bell rang and we were dismissed. Until Tomorrow!

    Please don't use more scrolling text. It is annoying for the reader.

Day 33 - Profitt MIA

Today in WHAP we did a group activity as a table team. First, Mr. Profitt wasn't here for class today for "Kairos" (probably cutting class to play Civ 6), so we had Mr. Donahue for our sub. Once class started, we promptly got to work on our assignment so that we could finish by the end of the period, since we only had class time to work on it. One member of our group, Guy, actually did one of his responses beforehand  so that he would have all of class to work on just one other response and not be rushed, along with being able to assist the rest of us. We ended up finishing right as the bell rang, with Mr. John Holloran being the last to submit as he couldn't figure out how to type his answers onto the google dock, as the keyboard was getting in the way. Day 8 - An eye for an eye

Today in WHAP we continued the Code of Hammurabi assignment we had been working on and then took a clicker quiz over the two Crash Course videos we watched over the weekend. First, we revised the Hammurabi assignment by making sure that our answers were concise and to the point, and that we answered the whole question. After this, Mr. Profit analyzed a student's answer in front of the class, breaking it down from a fundamental standpoint by saying how it answered the whole question and expanded on the answer. He also emphasized how using S.P.I.C.E. is a good way to find patterns in civilization, since it can apply to basically all of them. Today in class, we also talked about our upcoming reading quiz on Wednesday and our exam on Friday. I'm not too worried about the reading quiz since I know what to improve on from the last one, but I am a little anxious about the test on Friday. Day 153 - The Final Reflection

Today in WHAP (or rather several days ago) we had our last class. So to start this reflection off I'm basically going to go over my personal feelings about the class. For starters, lets go from an academic standpoint. Right from the first day, WHAP is probably going to seem scary. You're going to roll up to class, and Mr. Profitt is going to show you some musty image of someone getting sprayed with a fire house, because it's so much information. Sure, their is a lot to learn, but it's really not that bad. And that's kinda what you need to keep in mind in this class. You're going to get some low quiz grades, but there are so many that it will eventually balance out. You may get some bad mastery grades, but with revisions you'll make it an acceptable grade. Same thing with the information; if you kinda stay on top of things it won't be that bad. That's my feeling on this class; I think it was a difficult class but I wouldn't say it's im...
